Let me try to catch you all up with whats been going on here in our little peice of the world. I can't beleive how much I have missed blogging and reading all your blogs. But thank heavens I have not been the only one that have been away from blogging for awhile. Summer has finally hit us and we are hoping it stays with us for alittle longer. The warmer temps have dryed up the feilds and everything is finally starting to look normal for this time of year. The kids have been enjoying the lazy mornings and brunch everymorning instead of breakfast. They love sleeping out in the backyard in the travel trailer and eating outside. I think I could count on one hand the amount of days that they have not been in the pool. I never bought so much sun block in my life. We have been making regular visits to the libary, and we have been spending a hour once or twice a week reading our Childrens Bible. Also once a week working on math facts at different levels, and writing as well. (I feel this is good for the children) As for the household itself not much has changed indoors still my regular cleaning and washing alough my new wringer washer that is set up in my back porch is working very nicely and I have never had soooooo much help with the laundry before. As for outdoors my flowers don't look have bad, and the herb garden is both tasting and smelling some yummy. My pond is finally finished and well if I could only either keep my ducks out or at least keep them from knocking over my center fountain I would have a not to bad looking pond. Our potatoes, beans peas, corn pumpkins, zucs, squash, cucs, and tomatoes are also coming. The turkeys are getting big fast so it won't be much longer till they make their way to the freezer. We have just taken them off of medicated food so it will parobly be another 3 weks till that time. The meat birds are real escape artists and the kids chase them around the yard all day trying to keep them in their pen. So they too will find their way to the deep freezer. We have a smaller pig ready for butchering and we will butcher the other latter this Fall. When we do our beef cow. I spent the last fews days with the children picking wild strawberries and then making jam and strawberry shortcake. My tame berries are coming but not yet ready for picking. I also see the raspberries will be ready in the next couple of weeks. Inbetween making meals, cleanning, getting ready for hay making, I have been sheering my sheep. I try to do a few in the morning and a few more at night when the weather cools down abit. I have not yet started the llamas but hope to soon. Then try to get most of my wool skirted and washed to spin this Fall. We have friends that moved here last year and are renting a house, now they know that their job will be perament so they have sold their house away and have just came back from getting the rest out of the stuff in the house, and to my favour I have been given a beautiful 6 chairs and very large dining room table. YEAH!!! I love it and the best part it was given to us. It must be deal week as I also went to the store and bought 15 liters of cream that was marked down as it was close to expiry. You guessed I made us some butter. Well I hope it dosn't take as long again to blog, as I really did miss this. I wish you all a blessed day.
