My friend over at A quiet little woman has taken the time to remind us about all the things we take for granted each day! We are His own children here to share His wonderful love with all, yet we forget to be thankful for the things he has blessed us with. So I am going to put a list of 20 things I am very thankful for! Please join Alex and me in reminding people about what God has given
1) I am most thankful for God's love! He came to earth and died on the cross for my sins. He loves and I have done nothing do deserve such love! What more could I ask for when I consider this simple fact?
2) Being able to pray! Why would God listen to me I can not tell you, but the fact that he does makes me so thankful.
3) The bible it brings me comfort, protection, love, and peace God was thinking of me when he inspired those holy men to write!
4) Everlasting life. I shall never really die. God has a place for me in his Kingdom next to Him, and I don't know about you but I can not wait to get there
5) My mother! God has given her to me as a mother for the past eight years. In this time I have grown to love her with a daughter’s heart. I was not able to be in her womb, and at times this is very hard for me. But I am overjoyed to see God's hand in bring us together!
6) My father, he is so good to me! When I moved into his house at ten God used him to come into my life. He will do anything for me. His love for all of us is amazing. He is protective and compassionate. He can make anyone smile because he is just that kind of guy.
7) My real mother, she has thought me many things! She has showed me that being a mother is something you do with all of your heart.
8) Nathan... God has been so wonderful allowing him into my life. His love for God makes me happy to know him. He is always the one who will say something just to hear someone giggle.
9) My sister Anne...she was blessed with the ability to make everyone smile. She is quite the witty little thing!
10) My sister Hannah...she is amazing! She has the softest heart, if you look at her the wrong way she will cry until her eyes are about to fall out. She is kind, and will give anything to anyone if it will make them happy no matter how much joy it takes away from her.
11) My sister Lindsay...darling girl she can not focus on a thing! She walks in a cloud, never really hearing what you say, and never completing the task ahead of her unless you tell her to it 100 times in a row. (As she is doing it) I could not imagine life with out her
12) My sister Abigail...She is so darling! The way she wiggles her nose and giggles make me remember how simple life should be.
13) My sister Rachel...She is 12 and sadly I do not get the opportunity to be a big sister to her because she does not live with me. I am thankful for the time I do spend with her, and I pray every day that she will grow up to be a wonderful girl with a heart for God.
14) My sister Samantha...She is 7 and as I said for Rachel goes for her
15) My sister Danielle...She is 20, married, and has a daughter. I love her very much and am most grateful for the time we spent together growing up.
16) The men who protect our country. They are willing to leave their loved one's to protect ours.
17) Friends...I will name the one's who have really encouraged me. Ashley she is amazing! She really lives her life for God. Savannah she is a wonderful girl who honors God in what she does. Karisa is a wonderful girl if she is to tell you anything you can know it came strait for Gods word. Dana and Alyssa are sisters who amaze me! Oriana is a girl who I am learning a lot about day by day. Lastly Alex who I have never met, but she is a girl who has a lot to say for God. (She is the one who started this whole thing)
18) Having a room to my self. I know it is kind of selfish but I am thankful God has given me a room that is all my own. I enjoy being able to sneak off and do my own thing.
19) Flowers! I can not get over the different kinds and how they all start from a seed. When I look at them I am reminded of my Saviors creativity
20) Lastly I am thankful for storms! Thunder storms are my favorite when it is late at night and I am under my covers. They scare me a little and it helps me remember my place. God is so big and I am so small... He is the God of the waters and I know he will keep me safe through a storm of any kind.
God has truly blessed me. I pray that if all of these things were to be taken from me (except the first, second, and the forth because I could not live a day without the love of God) I will cling to my Rock and Strong hold.
