The train with Hubby last Saturday was amazing. Simply amazing. God is so cool. We took over 95 pictures. I'm not going to share them all with you, but suffice it to say that we saw the beauty of His handiwork. It was something we'll never forget. And may even make an annual event. Now we are hoping to get on one of the holiday trains with the crew.
I just finished up my 3rd week at Curves. I'm just loving the new Curves Smart or Smart Curves, or whatever it is called. I love seeing my progress every workout. I am excited to go to my weigh/measure on the 15th. I'm not expecting miracles, but I do hope to see some sort of improvement. (I'd better, as hard as I've been working!!)
Do you remember me talking about my "whatever it is" that flares up from time to time? My joints swell and ache and I run fevers and stuff. Long story short, I finally found a doctor to take me seriously. (the last guy said "Honey, you are just fat. Lose some weight and you'll be fine") My gyno ran an ANA and it was positive. She then sent me to a family doctor for further testing. When I met with him this week he started off by telling me that lupus is very rare, there are probably only about 65 cases in the state of Alaska, etc etc etc. Then he started running down the list of 11 criteria. A person has to have at least 4 for a diagnosis. I have 5. And we haven't even completed the lab work yet. At the end, he said "I don't want to frighten you, but it is looking like lupus may be a definite possibility." I'm not scared, I'm thrilled to finally be on the brink of an answer!! Not that I want lupus, of course, but just knowing that I'm not "just fat and lazy"...and having a doctor agree with me...makes me beyond thrilled. |
