Little French Homestead

• Thursday 30 March 2006 - Some gardening

Posted in garden

Today I have really started my spring gardening, I have hoed my flowerbeds, and started the veggies garden, I put directly radishes seeds in the soil, I also have put some green beans and pumkin seeds in pot for sprouting, I'll put them in the soil by the beginning of may.

I'll transplant some lettuce this week-end, I prefer to wait about 2 weeks for tomatoes and potatoes.

I also grow some cayenne pepper in a big pot, but it's far to early for them, as they like sun and warm weather

About flowers, now the crocus are faded, but daffodils and pansies are beautiful, I also have some hyacinths, cowslips and wild violet everywhere in the grass.

I enjoy very much gardening, even if it's a really small "homestead", about 1/8 acres (hope I made the good translation, it's 500 square meters)

Tomorrow I'll post some pics, today was to grey and rainy to take pics
