Hugh and Meredith have been working secretly on an art project for the last 3 weeks. We have not been allowed to know what they were doing. They go to Art classes during the week with a local Christchurch artist who is passionate about art, and she has certainly managed to teach this same passion to her students as well. Every week I am grateful for the chance encounter that led us to June Pearson - the art teacher. She has bought out the best in my children. We love seeing what they accomplish at their class. The go along with a few other homeschooling children. June decided they were ready to do their first painting on canvas and this is the result..... keep in mind their ages. Here is Hugh's. He is 8 years old. He tells me he has a little bit more to do on it still.

And here is Meredith's. She is 6 years old.

We think they're amazing. Now we just have to find the right places on our walls to display them.
