With the new year comes new organization & routines for our family. I've been working away at making out a new schedule, homeschool plan & organizing just about everything. Out in our school house I did FINALLY get some cleaning & organizing done. My mom gave me 2 tall plastic dresser type organizers filled with different sewing & crafting materials! I can't wait to get out there & get to some sewing now. I have several craft books with things that would be fun to do too. I also need to work on some homeschool planning for my son. I kept Abigail in Rod & Staff (mostly) and even though it's very routine, it's so easy to just open a book or workbook & do the next couple of pages.--In other words, not much planning time needed by me. Tyler on the other hand, I mixed up a bit this year. Alot of reading & doing things based off of the books.--Does take quite a bit more mama time. Also, to be honest, he'd much rather just get assigned a set # of pages & move on. As much as I enjoy reading & think he could learn so much this way, it's just not HIS way. He'd rather go out and build something or fix something. Not bad qualities, I just need to try to stop trying to conform him & let him be who God made him to be.--It is just hard at times because I keep thinking that he will be 15 soon & that only leaves me 3 more years to do my best to guide him before he goes out into this world. I just want him so much to be a great man. We're still building away on the chicken pen. We've got the actual barn/house building just about finished. Today, providing it doesn't rain, we will complete that!!! Then we still need to pull the wire over the "yard" and that's it. I'll share pictures when we're done. Well, I need to get the towels out on the line & start my sourdough bread. ~Hope ya'll have a great day!~ |

I am so greatful for that because now, along with what I already had I have tons of things to use. After I got all of that situated I now only need to print out some labels to put on the fronts.--I like to have things labeled. I think that keeps me & my children from throwing everything into a giant pile--something we have a bad habit of doing.
