Beef & Cabbage Pot 1 medium head cabbage (cored & sliced about 1/4 inch) 1 lb ground beef 1 onion 1/2 stick real butter 3 cloves chopped garlic 3 T. taco seasoning 3-4 T. chopped cilantro tad of olive oil salt & pepper juice of 1 lemon Put a little olive oil in stock pot. Add beef & onion. (My beef is not fatty so I did not drain. If you have fatty meat, omit the olive oil & then drain some of the fat off before proceeding) Add the butter, cabbage, garlic, taco seasoning & salt & pepper. Stir and cover. Stir & then recover until cabbage is cooked to your desired consistancy. (It took about 15 minutes here) Then add cilantro & stir again. Sprinkle lemon juice on top. Serve. We had this with some sesame flourless toast & it was great! |
