At Home on this Mountain | |
Thursday, December 11, 2008Lucky girlPosted in LaughingTo understand this post you really have to have heard the way my MJ talks. We live in Alabama (really hiding that one well with my sneaky screen name) and she talks like she's from Massachusetts. She also loves Spongebob (the show, not the mountains of merchandise)- it's genetic; the whole family got that gene. So her favorite expression of disappointment is, "Oh, toi-teh sauce!" That "sauce" is pronounced just like my Cousin Trip says it when he talks like his Boston cousins. Sort of like "soo-ess" but not like that. Anyhoo- to my point. Last week we went to Walmart and Daddy took the children to the game room while I paid for the groceries. He gladly let's them play all the free video games they want while I take my mini-vacation at the self-check-out. When I got there MJ asked me if she could try for one of the Care Bear "figurines" in the quarter machine. She's been sick so I gave in and put the quarters in and let her turn the knobs. Lo and behold, out popped a plastic egg with a Care Bear in it. She said, "I WON!! I da wuckiest dorl in da woild!" So stinking funny. A few days later we were back and Keith enjoyed that scene so much that he coughed up another 50 cents for another go at the Care Bear game. In went the quarters. Round went the knobs. Out came the bear. "I'm still SO WUCKY!!" Today we went back. What? We needed, and I mean MEDICALLY needed lemons and garlic. I couldn't resist. We "played" it again and for the third time in a week she "won" a Care Bear. What's really amazing is that all three are different. I got to relive a piece of my childhood by looking up the bears' names on the internet. Yes, she really is the "wuckiest dorl in da woild." Or is that me?? ***Don't forget to head down to the previous post to enter my "big" giveaway :D Make my day- help me get 10 entrants!!*** | 1 comments | Link Leave a Comment { Last Page } { Page 23 of 117 } { Next Page } |
