Ta da list

I had a hefty mental to-do list today but I never wrote it down and I can't remember all of it now so I can't beat myself up over what I didn't accomplish.  My house looks a bit of a wreck and we're getting ready to run errands, do Scout stuff, etc so there's not much time left to deal with it.  Instead of feeling bad I have put my boys to work in the living room and I am going to post what I DID get done today.  My "ta da!" list.

-4 loads of laundry on the line
-4 loads of laundry folded (different from above)
-bathroom cleaned (desperately needed)
-showered and groomed (ditto)
-breakfast and lunch cooked and eaten
-breakfast mess cleaned up
-clean dishes in dishwasher
-aired out bedroom
-made "Healthy Habits" chart for TH's Scout achievement (he has to keep track of how often he washes his hands, showers, drinks water, etc for 2 weeks; we started keeping track today)
-read A Bully Father to the children (what fun! I am all about Teddy Roosevelt lately)
-cleaned out cooler from Saturday
-helped TH catch a tiny green snake and took photos of each child holding it (except RK who nearly smashed it to bits before we wrested it from her without snapping a pic)

All in all, not a bad day.  Especially since I only had a few hours to do anything.  Hopefully I'll be able to find at least one dress shirt for TH at the thrift store and then the shopping expedition will have been fruitful as well.  Tomorrow we'll accomplish more and get some serious lessons done.  Tonight's meeting counts as lessons too so we're really all set even if it doesn't look like a "real" school day.
