A new stove????

How exciting. We haven't had a stove or oven in over twelve months now. The old wood stove in the house doesn't work at all, other than to heat up. The oven is totally broken so I've been using an electric frypan and microwave to do all our cooking. It hasn't been too bad, after all I've made cakes and bikkies in the frypan but to have a stove has been a dream.

Today a woman came over who's name is Janet. She's going to help with gardening and the fruit trees as we don't know anything about them. It turns out her brother may be able to take the old stove out, plus the old hot water system in the ceiling and  re-brick the roof for us. He may also be able to build the shelf that the stove will sit on. Then all we need is the electrician to put in the stove and double wall oven.

It looks like we could be getting him to help build a chook house too. The lady on two properties over from us has some Silver and Gold Wyandottes which she may let us buy.

Pierce is enjoying his schooling and amazingly is learning stuff I'm teaching him! Who would have thought???LOLOL ACE is great!

He helped me pick the grapes tonight. Jess (our larger dog) loves to eat them so we have to make sure she can't reach them. If she eats them they can actually kill a dog. Hasn't hurt her yet, but better to be on the safe side. She also loves to eat mandarines. Now if only I can get Pierce to eat them!

Our sprouts are almost ready to eat too. Yum. I love salads so the sprouts will go good on them.
