A Valentine Party Playdate w/ Anna - Samantha, Kiersten, and Cody

We had a wonderful Valentine Party playdate here at our house on February 1.

Playdate here w/ Jonathon

Lilli's friend Jonathon rides to Awana with us each week.  They often come a few minutes early so that the kids can play together.  Here they are playing the Wii, which is their favorite thing to do in the winter.  When there isn't snow, they prefer to be outside around the animals or jumping in the trampoline.

A Christmas Party Playdate! Springett-Fudge-Bartlett

Today was our long awaited Christmas Party.  Lauren woke up coughing, so I had her stay home with Lance, just in case she was contagious.  Lilli and I had a wonderful time.  The party was at Anna's house, and I met two new ladies who I look forward to getting to know better :)

First Anna read the legend of the Candy Cane story, then made candy canes out of clay (Anna came up with this idea, and I loved it!).

Next the kids decorated cookies.  Becky brought the cookies (already baked), and A LOT of decorations/sprinkles/candies for them.  The kids had a great time and there really wasn't much of a mess for having 7 kids :)  They each decorated and ate a cookie for a snack when they were done decorating.

Last we played Christmas Bingo.  We all brought a one dollar gift for each child and we put them under the tree.  Then we played Bingo (with Christmas pictures instead of numbers) and the kids chose a gift in the order in which they called Bingo.  I found the Bingo cards online (DLTK.com).  I chose the religious Christmas pictures, but they were a little hard for the younger kids to figure out.  There were 3 different wise men that looked very similar...etc.

We had a wonderful time and are very grateful to Anna for hosting it for us.  I am very sorry Lauren wasn't able to enjoy it though :(
