Menu Plan Monday

{ 10:45, 2008-Jun-1 } { 1 comments } { Link }

Here is our tentative meal plan for this week.  It's another crazy-busy week for us, so I'm sure it will change, but here is the basic idea:

Monday:  Spaghetti and crescent rolls

Tuesday:  Beef Stroganoff (crockpot)

Wednesday:  Supper with relatives

Thursday:  Leftovers

Friday:  Homemade pizzas (did you know we no longer have a pizza place close enough to deliver?)

Saturday:  Roast, potatoes, carrots, celery, onions (or supper with family)

Sunday:  Supper with family

Here is a look at our plans for the week:  Any spare time will be spent planting our garden, but that may have to wait until the following week, as this week is just crazy.

Monday:  Lilli has gymnastics after school from 4:45-5:30, and then a playdate at the park

Tuesday:  My birthday :)

Lilli's class is supposed to walk to the local park but the forcast is calling for rain.  I volunteered to walk with the class if they do go, so Lauren will visit with my parents during the day.  Lilli also has her first T-ball game at 7PM.

Wednesday:  We are spending the day with Lance's family.  Lauren will visit with my parents during the day and then we'll get her sometime before dinner.

Thursday:  Lilli has half a day of school and I volunteered to walk with her class to the local library in the morning, so Lauren will get yet another visit with my parents.  Lilli has a T-ball game at 6PM.

Friday:  Lance's birthday :)

Lilli's last day of school!  It's only half a day and then we plan to head straight to the local library after she gets out of school, to sign-up for their summer reading program.  If the weather is nice we'll stop by the local park and then head home for some relaxing fun...probably spent in the garden.  LOL.

YAY FOR SUMMER!

Saturday:  We hope to attend the monthly animal swap meet in Indiana.  We had such a nice time when we went in May.

Sunday:  ??

The great news is that things will definitely be slowing down now that school is out.  We have a lot of plans for the summer, but we'll only be leaving the house about two or three times per week.  Gas is just too expensive and things are just too far away for us not to combine our outings with our trips to my parent's house.  We plan to visit them twice per week and then head to the local park and library on another day of the week, breaking our week up a bit.

I did book a stay at the Great Wolf Lodge.  I went online and found a great deal so I went ahead and booked it.  We are staying for two nights and I am excited about it.  Lilli loves it there and Lauren is going to have a blast in the kiddy area this time.

I haven't booked Disney yet, but it looks like we are going to go in August instead of September.  The rates were cheaper in August, Lilli won't have to miss school, and Lance's brother is home and can help with caring for our farm critters while we are gone.  His brother will be gone for a job from Sept-Dec this year, but home for the duration of the winter, so that will be nice for Lance.  His brother is usually gone all winter.

Other plans are taking shape, if you missed my post on summer plans, we hope to do a lot this year and still stick to a budget (we are saving for Disney :).  Deer Forest, Michigan's Adventure, Binder Park Zoo, Children's museum, Air Zoo, Chuck E Cheese, Bounceland, Jungle Joes, Roller Skating, Bowling, horseback riding, letterboxing, beach, parks...

That's all I can think of right now, but I'm sure there are more.  It sounds like a lot, but most of it is inexpensive and fairly close-by.

If I don't post much this week, it's because we are so busy.  I'll post again when I can.

Trace, if you read this... I posted on chicken tractors in the post before this one....LOL

Have a great week everybody :)

I'll leave you with a couple pictures.

Lilli in her Kindergarten circus on May 20.  She was an acrobat:

Lauren and Socks, our very tolerant and patient barncat (or 'meow' as Lauren calls him):

All he would have to do is run, but no...he walks up and lays down right next to her, so of course she's going to pick him up and play with him.  LOL
