Monday: Tacos (the girls had McDonald's as it's our playdate day after Lilli's acro class). Tuesday: Polish Sausage in the crockpot (I'll be gone most of the day) Wednesday: Grill - steaks and cheeseburgers, mushrooms and asparagus (grilled in foil) Thursday: Leftovers Friday: Ham and beans w/ cornbread Saturday: Grill (?) pork steaks and baked potatoes (w/ grilled mushrooms and onions) Sunday: Spaghetti and homemade garlic bread Our nights almost always change a bit, but the foods are usually the same, just eaten on different days. We just switch them around as leftovers add-up or the grill isn't possible, etc. ***************************************************************** Also in the kitchen: goulash for lunch for Lauren and I strawberry shortcake (fresh frozen berries and homemade biscuits) homemade waffles frozen for breakfasts (just pop them in the toaster in the morning) chicken tacos frozen for afterschool snacks and/or suppers for Lilli bbq chicken for Lilli as snack or suppers sugar cookies peanut butter cookies Homemade bread IN THE OVEN! I'm going to try it, we'll see what happens. I've only ever used the bread machine and I'm ready to try my hand at making real bread. We'll see how it goes :) *********************************************************** Plans for the week: Lance is on 10 hours so he's pretty tied up this week. He doesn't get home until 5PM or later and once chores are done that doesn't leave much time at all. He is planning on a visit with his dad after work Tuesday, and maybe again later in the week, depending on weather. Monday: we had acro and a playdate at the park (yay for great weather). Lauren went with us as Lance is working 10 hours right now. We all had a nice time and then I hit McDonald's for the girl's supper afterwards. Tuesday: Lilli is skipping school and I'm taking her and Lauren to Tulip Time! I have a dutch costume that was Lilli's when she was this age and we have to get a pic of Lauren in it while in the tulips! I'll buy her some wooden shoes to complete the look. We are going by the health food store on the way to Holland and then going to Target to shop for the perfect outfits for the girls' pictures. (I plan to take pictures of them together in the tulips without Lauren in costume). We are meeting Vicki and Alyssa in Holland at about 12:30PM or so. We plan to get pictures of all 3 girls together, and then individuals. I think we are going to Veldheers (a flower farm). Hopefully I'll have a lot of great pictures to share tomorrow evening. After the pictures are done we plan to visit my great Uncle Ernie. We haven't seen him hardly at all over the winter. We always enjoy a nice visit when we go. It will be a long day for us, but very worth it :) We have to cover all our bases when driving that far (Holland is an hour drive for us..one way). Wednesday: I take Lauren to South Haven in the morning and try to get housework done when I don't have to keep an eye on her so closely. This week I'll probably be busy with chicks outside. I volunteer at Lilli's school at 1PM and then we head to South Haven after school for a short visit before heading home for baths and bed. Thursday: no plans! WOOHOO! Laundry and housework and chores. Friday: In the morning, I am meeting a new friend who lives just down the road from here. We are walking and meeting in the middle (she lives a mile away) and then heading to one of our houses for a visit. She has a son that is about a month older than Lauren, so it's a playdate for all of us :) LOL We don't have any plans for Friday evening (YAY). Saturday: We'll probably visit my folk's in South Haven, if not today, then tomorrow. Sunday: A visit in South Haven or a home-day. We have lots of chores outside right now with the chicks to care for and such. It's a lot of work moving them around, but I think we almost have them situated. Now we just check them 3 or 4 times per day to be sure they have food and water. I transferred all of them to the new cages and I hope to just run one heat lamp during the day, and then two at night for extra warmth. The bigger chicks we'll sit in a cage outside on the grass during the warm days, but the rest will stay in the warm coop. I went to the feed store today and they have a big shipment of meat chickens coming in tomorrow. Of course I may have to get some. They are only $1.29 each and that's a great deal. He is also expecting guinea keets in the next week or two! I'm very excited about that and he's going to call me when they come in. :) WOOHOO! I'll finally have keets! All our cages are going to be full! LOL { Post a Comment } { Last Page } { Page 5 of 225 } { Next Page } |
