Happy Birthday Grandpa Bartlett - April 29th

Happy Birthday Pepa Bartlett!

Yesterday was Lance's Dad's birthday.  We all went over for a short visit and took cake and ice cream for him.

He wasn't feeling well as he had his second day of chemo yesterday morning (this is his second round of 3-day chemo treatments).  Yesterday was day 2 of this second round and I think it was the hardest one yet for him.

We didn't stay long, as Lauren is busy and he needed his rest.  I chased Lauren the entire visit (she loves the stairs and all those non-kid-friendly knick-knacks...LOL).  Lance might have been able to visit a bit, I'm not sure.

I did get one picture though.  Lance had to hold Lauren as she just wanted to RUN RUN RUN.

It is so good to take pictures every time you get together with your loved ones. My sil recently lost her dad to a heart attack and was so sad as they looked through family pictures and she realized that because she lived away from her parents, she wasn't in any of the pics. She was very upset about it too.
And thanks so much for keeping me in your thoughts and prayers. And yes I did contact the Sr community center here in my area, and they didn't have anything for me. I got a phone call today from a facility that I contacted last week, and she tells me that they have over 100 sitters working for them and none are willing to take on any more hours. Now she could offer me a sitter with her TB shot up to date, but no back ground check. UUUHHH No Thank You! LOL I mean do you think I'd feel safe leaving a total stranger in my home with my mother, that your not even sure of, I don't think I would. I'll keep looking.

But anyway, thanks again for the prayer and thoughts, it means so much to me that the people on this blog are just too sweet and kind. And by the way, your girls are just to precious..............Kitty
