Beef Stroganoff - crockpot - recipe w/ pics

This is another of our favorite meals.  We almost always eat it the second day as leftovers because we like it so much.

Beef Stroganoff

You will need:

2-3 pounds of sirloin steak (or any cut of beef) cut into 3 inch strips
3 onions - cut into rings
2 cans mushrooms (drained) - pieces/stems (I used big cans)
3/4 Cup of flour (1/2 C now, 1/4 C later)
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon ground mustard
1 chicken bouillon cube (melted into water below)
1 1/2 Cups water

1 pound container of sour cream
wide egg noodles

What to do:

Cut meat into 3 inch strips and place in crockpot.  Add 1/2 cup flour, pepper, salt, and ground mustard.  Mix well, coating the meat. 

Cut onions into rings and add to crockpot.  Add drained mushrooms to crockpot.  Mix onions and mushrooms with the meat. 

Add water.  Mix well.

Cook on low 8-10 hours.

I have also cooked on high for 3 hours and then on low for 3 hours and it was fine.  (if you need it done sooner than 8 hours).

Just before eating, cook and drain your noodles (we like wide egg noodles for this).

Finished cooking, but before the sour cream mixture:

Then mix 1/4 Cup flour with 1 pound of sour cream, add to crockpot and mix well:

Serve over noodles.  YUMMY-YUM-YUM!

Have you ever tried freezing leftovers? I only cook for 2 here!
