Lilli's Show and Tell...

Friday was Lilli's snack and sharing day.  About once a month the students get to bring snack for the entire class and then bring a show and tell item for sharing with the class.

Lilli decided she wanted to bring my dad (her Pepa) for her show and tell.  She didn't think she could since nobody had ever brought a person before.  I cleared it with the teacher and Lilli was thrilled.  She couldn't wait until her sharing day.

Grandpa and Grandma had to cancel their casino trip in order for Dad to be there.  It was also dad's birthday, so it was an extra special day.

Lilli had Pepa wait out in the hall until it was time for her sharing.  I think he stood out there almost 20 minutes while Lilli passed out her snack (cupcakes for Dad's birthday and their sub teacher's last day).  When she finally went out to get him, she had all the kids close their eyes while she brought him in.  It was very cute.

Once he was in the middle of the kids, he and Lilli took turns telling about all the 'troubles' they get into together.  The told about the crayfish (crawdad) they caught the day before and the teacher asked Lilli to explain what a crawdad was in case other kids didn't know what it was.  Lilli said it was a small lobster with pinchers that really pinch.  LOL

Lilli said grandma got mad at them for getting into troubles.  The kids all laughed about that.  LOL

The kids all had lots of questions and they spent longer on sharing time than I'd seen before.  The kids asked about everything from 'what do you play catch with', to 'what are you going to do next time you play together'.  It was fun. 

Since it was Dad's birthday we went ahead and took Lilli with us when sharing was over.  It was about 20 minutes early so I signed her out of the office with the 'reason for leaving' being 'Pepa's birthday'.  LOL

After school we went out to eat at Waffle House for Dad's birthday.  Mom and dad and the girls and I (Lance wasn't home from work yet).  Then Lilli went to spend the night with them.

Lauren was feeling sad and lonely without her sissy so we spent a bit of time outside.  Papa decided to take her for a spin around the yard on the 4-wheeler.  She had a wonderful time and cried when we had to come inside.  She loves it outside and often brings me her boots and says, 'boo boo boo' and points to the door.  LOL

Papa! for show n tell!! I just love it!!! That is precious! I know my babies love their grandparents too!!! We are blessed to have such a loving and close family! Enjoy! Mrs. Joseph Wood
