Our Happy Girls
Well, the girls and I went costume shopping today. We bought costumes that we didn't have in mind at all. Lilli was going to be Amadala off Star Wars, but changed her mind before we even got to the store, so we just decided to get whichever one caught her eye when we got there. She liked the cat costume, but Halloween USA didn't have her size, so we headed to Walmart, and they didn't even have the cat costume. So then we went to Meijer's. They had the cat costume in a size 8-10 so we bought it. It is very VERY cute. It's a soft velvet material with fur around the ankles, neck and wrists. It is very cute on her and not too big at all. We can even fit leggings under it on Halloween, if the weather is cold. Lauren ended up with a pink bunny. It's the cutest, softest bunny ever. LOL. The hat fits just snug enough that she can't take it off, which is a good thing for her since she doesn't like hats at all.
Thursday mom came over and watched Lauren all day while I went on Lilli's first field trip with school. It was definitely interesting. We went to the Curious Kid's Museum in St Joe, and then to Jollay Orchards in Coloma. I had 4 little girls to watch, Lilli and 3 others. We had a great time overall. Lilli cried twice at lunch time...once when a little boy grabbed the hood of her coat while she was running and it choked her, and once when she bumped her chin on the monkey bars. I am not sure she would have cried if I hadn't been there, but maybe.
She also wanted to just play with me at the museum. I guess I am much more fun than any of those kids! LOL
One little girl was severely allergic to bees. She got stung. Yes, the one little girl out of 100 kids that was allergic, was the one to get stung. The teacher had to use the Epi-pen and call an ambulance. The little girl had to go to the hospital because anytime and Epi is used on somebody that young, they have to be checked. The teacher rode in the ambulance with her. I must say that I was very impressed with how the situation was handled and Lilli's teacher moved up a few notches in my book. I really don't know her so I don't have anything to base my thoughts on, but that certainly impressed me.
Lauren did great being home all day with grandma. It was the first time she went all day without nursing and it didn't bother her at all.
Lance worked a double shift Thursday so he missed his class. He is at the auction today selling all of our goats. He thought he might buy a cow or two if the price was right. We'll see I guess.
Tomorrow the girls and I are going to South Haven for a visit with mom and dad. Lance is cutting wood I believe.
Have a great day!
