Lots of pictures today! This one up above was my favorite of the day I think. It's hard to say though, they all turned out nice.
We stayed home most of the day today. We did head out and go to the library. The library is doing a summer reading program, so Lilli gets a prize for every 20 books we read together. Today the prize was a free ice cream cone from a shop downtown. We had to walk downtown anyway, as the library also has a 'clue' game going on and we have to walk to town each week to visit local businesses and get clues to solve this mystery. We should find the last clue next week. We've had fun playing it, and it's nice to get out and walk. I just put the baby in her carrier and hold Lilli's hand and away we go.
Lilli also got her very own library card today! She is so excited about it. We are going to punch a hole in it so she can attach it to her library bag. She is very excited about being able to check out books by herself...she just wants me to carry them to the counter for her because she gets so many each week that she can't carry the bag. LOL!
We came home after the library and read a story (haha). She really likes the 'Nate the Great' series, so she checked out several of those. We read one book when we got home, and one book before bed. She wants to finish all her books before Tuesday next week, so we can turn them in early and figure out the last clue for the mystery game.
We ordered our supper from the little shop that Lilli got her free ice cream from. They actually have very good food for such a small place, and a nice variety of foods to choose from. Lance and Lilli both had pizza and I had chicken parmesan. I blended up some of the chicken and spaghetti (without sauce) for Lauren. She loved it. Then she chewed on a pizza crust for awhile.
I was out feeding the cats while Lilli was eating her ice cream and Lauren was chewing on her crust. When I came in, this is what I found (notice Lilli's mouth, she is saying, 'ahhhh') LOL:
Lilli is feeding her ice cream! I said, 'not too much Lilli, she can't have much ice cream yet'. Lilli said, 'it's ok, I made sure there were no chocolate chunks that she could choke on'. LOL!
I meant that she can't have dairy yet. LOL. It was too cute. Lauren was not complaining at all.
Lauren has a new trick. She can take off her diapers. Well, the velcro ones. We use cloth diapers, so I have snaps too, and it looks we are going to have to only wear velcro under onesies. This is how I found her this afternoon...she looks innocent enough (look at that face!), but look at her left hand...her diaper is undone! LOL
I can't believe she is taking her diapers off already! Lilli never even tried! I think I had Lilli in onesies more though. I usually have Lauren in a T-shirt and diaper at home, and 'baby legs' if it's chilly.
These are 'baby legs' (notice the snap diaper...ha!) :
They are like leg warmers. They are made from a knee-high sock...you just cut the foot off of them and hem them up. They are AWESOME! You don't have to worry about unsnapping anything when changing diapers, yet baby's legs are warm. They are also great to protect Lauren's knees from rug burn while she tries to crawl.
Lilli has some too:

They really aren't stylish with shorts, but Lilli loves them. They are nice under a skirt or even pants if the weather is cold.
Here Lauren is trying to crawl. She wants to so bad, but just hasn't gotten it yet. She gets on all fours, then rocks, then nosedives. Then gets mad. LOL. She has started standing on her feet and hands too, with her bottom in the air, but still doesn't know what to do after that. It won't be long now. Lilli gets down and tries to show her how to do it:
She gets everywhere she wants by scooting or rolling right now. She usually heads over to wherever Lilli is playing. Lilli is so good with her. I should have gotten a picture of them playing with ponies yesterday. Lilli gave Lauren a few to play with and then Lilli just talked with Lauren's ponies just like Lauren knew exactly what was going on... Lauren was eating their tails. LOL
This next one is just before bathtime. We were playing music and running through the house. Lilli was pushing Lauren in her walker (we call it her car). They were having so much fun...I took a picture. LOL~! Go figure!

These next ones are repeats for some of you, but I wanted to post them for my Aunt Margo. I know she didn't see them yet and I hope she's checking the blog!
These were from the 4th of July
The girls and I before the parade:
Dustin, Vicki and Alyssa before the parade:

The girls with mom and dad...after the parade:
Lilli's new trick...scaling the walls! She's really good at it too!

The girls with Lance's parents outside of their house before the Bangor parade started. They live in town so we just had to walk a few feet to the curb and sit down. We were the first people on that side of the road, so it was really nice!

Lance and Lilli waiting for the Bangor parade to start:

Lilli's tooth...right after it came out (shortly after the Bangor parade). She was SO excited! I absolutely love this picture.

This is Lance and Lilli kayaking at his Aunt Karen's house. She lives on Cedar Lake in Marcellus. We had a great time at her house the weekend before the fourth. We had a cookout and stayed for the fireworks. We were able to watch them from her backyard. It was VERY nice. No traffic, no crowds...we hope to do it again next year too...
Lilli in her costume just before her ballet recital, and one of her posing in a leotard before a regular dance class. She wants to take ballet again next year, she was very excited about the recital and she did a great job!

The girls with Uncle Ernie..this was back in April I think:

The girls playing a game similar to twister. Ok, Lilli playing the game and Lauren eating the dice. LOL

Wow! That was a lot of pictures! LOL. I had to catch Aunt Margo up :)
I'm off to bed, I hope everybody is doing good!
