Are your boer goats playful?

We have several boer goats.  They are all very mellow and friendly, but not so energetic really.  They prefer to laze around and lope around the field at an easy gait.

Yesterday I walked the fence line of our girl's field to be sure no trees had fallen (it has been really windy here).  The goats got all riled up and started running and playing and kicking.  It was so funny, I wish I had had my camera. 

We have one very large boer goat.  She is probably mixed with something, but has all the boer coloring, but seems taller than our other boer girls.  Her head comes to my chest easily...she lifts her head and can nudge my face.  She is that tall (Ok, I'm short at 5'1, but that's tall for a goat?).

She got excited yesterday while I was in their field.  The little Togs ran around and jumped up on the huts.  They were playing king on the mountain...their favorite game.  They are about the only ones that jump on the huts.  Anyway, Moe (our big boer goat), walked up to the huts (they are those half circle hog huts).  She put her front feet on one and head butted/played with a tog.  Then she ran around in a circle, and went back and jumped up on the hut!  It was SO funny to see her do that.  She is so big, and I had no idea she was agile.

She got up there and she was so excited, she was butting the togs off the hut, and jumping from one hut to the other while doing little circle jumps.  It was so funny, and I so wish I could have gotten a picture.  I never would have thought she would be agile enough to do that.

I did call DH on the phone and luckily he was just on his way home and got to see for himself what she was doing.  I'm not sure he would have believed me otherwise.

Are your boer goats agile?  Our boer kids are very playful and agile, but that is the first time I'd seen an adult having so much fun.

I'll try to get a picture if it happens again, it was very amusing.
