I am new to the weekly menu idea. Taminaz (King's Castle Farm) has inspired me to start planning better. (Thank you Tam)
During the week, it's just DD and I for Breakfast and Lunch. DH is at work, and cannot take his lunch to his current location...he prefers just to have coffee in the mornings before work. We eat leftovers most of the time for Lunch. DD's favorite breakfast is eggs, so we have those a lot (and they are fresh, healthy, delicious, and FREE). LOL
Monday B/L - Waffles and Ham D - Fish, Homemade French Fries, and Asparagus Cookies
Tuesday B - Eggs, and Oranges L - leftover Fish and Fries D - Chicken Pot Pie Ice Cream Sundaes
Wednesday B - Cereal and Toast (light bfast as we have a snack at Playgroup around 10) L - (at my parent's, so we eat sandwiches there, or I take leftovers along to share) D - Baked Spaghetti and Homemade Breadsticks with Cheese Pudding
Thursday B - Eggs and Toast L - leftover Baked Spaghetti or Pot Pie D - Pork Chops, Fried Potatoes, and corn Peanut Butter Pie
Friday B - Eggs, Bacon, toast and Oranges L - Leftover Pork Chops and Potatoes D - Homemade Pizzas (DD is at my parent's usually, so it's just DH and I) Pie or Ice Cream
Saturday B - Biscuits and Gravy L - Grilled Ham and Cheese with Tomato soup and Chips D - Roasted Chicken with mashed Potatoes, gravy, and Peas Pudding / Cookies
Sunday B - Pancakes and Bacon L - Leftovers or soup and sandwich D - Taco Salad Ice Cream Sundaes
Wednesdays we are gone visiting my parents until about 5ish, so I will make the spaghetti that morning, or the night before, and put it in the fridge. Then DH can take it out and put it in the oven if we aren't home by 5:15. It is precooked, so it only takes about 30 minutes to heat through and melt the cheese. I think this is my all-time favorite food. LOL
I usually cook in the crock pot several times each week, but when I asked DD what sounded good this week, these were my options. LOL
We have Homegrown Chicken and Pork, along with freshly caught Fish, already in the freezer, so we try to stick to those for the most part. We do have a ground beef meal once or twice a week, as we love meatloaf, chili, tacos and the like. I usually use ground sausage in the baked spaghetti, since I already have it on hand. I can't wait until our steers are ready for the freezer!
Hugs, and Happy Eating!
Lisa
