Curriculum arrived! Teething, OT, and tired mommy...

Well, first of all I am so happy to announce that our new curriculum finally arrived!  DD5 will start Advanced Kindergarten on Monday.  She is having a hard time waiting so she's doing a few pages in her Phonics workbook in the meantime.  LOL

It looks like mostly a review of what we covered in Standard K, so this should be a fairly easy year for her.  She needs the review, we took two months off and she grew a bit rusty on a few things....we need to work out those kinks before we start 1st grade in August/September this year.

It looks like we wil dol school 4 days per week, through the summer.  We should finish Advanced K right around the first of August.  I'd like to start 1st grade sometime in August...maybe mid August depending on when we finish A.K. 

I'd like to take a week off in September, so I want to be started by then...we usually go to 'The Great Wolf Lodge' for a couple days in September, the rates are great and the place is usually empty because kids are back in school.  DD5 LOVES that place.  It's a hotel with an indoor waterpark.  Since it's so reasonable in September, we decided to make it an annual trip for our family.

I figured 4 days a week as DD5 goes to my parent's on Sunday nights...so that gives her Monday off.  I did not figure in any sick days, as I figured we can work on the weekends if we get behind.  I think it will only take us a couple hours to complete our school day, so we shouldn't have any trouble keeping up...even if we do miss a few 'scheduled' days.

Baby is averaging 6 hours of sleep per night.  Night before last was pretty bad, but she was congested and kept waking up because of it.  She's been putting herself back to sleep, but because she was congested she would cry and I'd rock her back to sleep.

Gotta run, baby is calling...
