Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

I love the new year and setting resolutions and such.  Not that I usually follow through with them, but it's fun to set them anyway.

This year we had our annual family New Year's Eve party...We just stay home and make snacks (choc chip cookies and chex mix).  We play games, watch movies (Cars), do crafts (we made the dinosaurs from kidscraftweekly) and just dance and sing with our noise makers. 

This year DH and DD5 went to bed at 10:30PM.  LOL.  Baby and I rang in the new year with the big ball drop on TV.  Baby was so happy at midnight, just smiling and cooing.  So cute.

Baby has thrush...again....or still.  The ped thinks we are passing it back and forth to each other so now I have to be treated too.  I exclusively breastfeed, so there are no nipples to be sterilized.  (She doesn't take a paci).  It has to be me.  Poor baby has been miserable the last couple days.  I just noticed it on Saturday night, and called the ped on Sunday...they called a script into Walgreens and I went to get it.  I hope it works soon...she is having trouble nursing now and she cries/screams if she bumps her mouth with her fingers (she loves to put her fingers in her mouth, so this happens often).  I currently have mittens on her and she doesn't like that at all either.

Baby is starting to coo more and will try to carry a conversation with you now.  Sometimes she looks like she's trying to talk, but can't...it's so cute. 

Baby is also starting to twist when placed on her back...she'll turn counterclockwise until she runs into something or gets half way around.  I'm not sure how she does it...moves her legs I think, then her body scoots along with them.

DD5 and DH had a nice day yesterday...they had to go to Rural King (45 miles away), so they decided to hit a store called Lunkers as well.  Lunkers is a large hunting/fishing/camping store.  It's a lot of fun to walk around and see everything there...they have a large aquarium and a live alligator and several 'stuffed animals' set up around the store.  DD5 loves it.  They also ate lunch at the restaurant there.

After that they went to Walmart for groceries and a farm market.  All in all, they were gone most of the day and had a great time.

Baby and I had to go to the drug store to pick her up her script for thrush...so I guess our day wasn't as great as theirs.  LOL.

We don't have any set plans today...I think we'll go to my parent's house and play games.  DH thinks he might stay home and do a few things out here.  We'll see.
