A busy couple of days...

Well the last couple days have been busy around here.  Tuesday my dad called and asked if I felt like going to the mall to get the girls' picture with Santa.  DD5 was already at their house so I loaded up the baby and off we went.  It's an hour and a half drive one way, so I wasn't really looking forward to that.  Baby did pretty good and slept most of the way there.  We got a great picture with Santa...one with our two girls and on with our two girls and my niece.  Very cute.

The mall has a nursing room, so when it was time to nurse I just headed there.  It's very nice to have a quiet place to go for that.  The rest of the time I carried baby around in her Baby Bjorn carrier.  She loved the lights and sounds, her eyes were so big as she took it all in.

DD5 enjoyed a ride in one of those car strollers that they rent out there.  I didn't buy anything at all other than the Santa pictures. 

My mom did buy DD5 several things at Gymboree as they have a horse clothing line right now and DD5 loves horses.  She got a new shirt, hair things and socks.  She is thrilled.

I got my haircut and eyebrows waxed.  They were way overdue.  LOL.  It was nice to have somebody there to watch the baby while I had that done. 

Yesterday my friend came over with her son and the kids played together while my friend got her 'baby fix'.  She was upset when the baby fussed and wanted me.  She did end up rocking her to sleep though and she was happy about that.

DH is working over time right now, which is nice for the money, but hard on him as they are working outside on these cold wet days.  He has to work Saturday too, 8 hours I think, so he'll be a bit late getting to his grandma's Christmas gathering, but not too bad.

I took DD5 to her Awana last night and Baby and I went to visit DH's grandma while she was there.  It was a nice visit and I think Gram enjoyed holding the baby.

We had roast for supper last night and we are having beef stroganoff tonight...it's already in the crockpot and smells delicious.  It's one of my favorites.

We are staying home today and then I'll take DD5 to her ballet class tonight.  DH won't be home in time.  He is working until 5 and her class starts at 5.  I try to plan the baby's meals around it, but I always end up having to feed her while DD is dancing.  One of these days we'll get it right.  LOL

I'll have to hit a store again before Christmas, and I think the sooner the better with all the crowds.  I need some batteries and a few odds and ends. 

We have DH's Grandma's gathering on Saturday the 23rd, the inlaw's gathering on Sunday the 24th, and then we do our Christmas on Christmas morning, and head to my parent's house for that afternoon/evening.  It will be a busy few days and I hope the baby holds up with so much traveling going on.

I hope everybody is having a happy season so far.  I do love the holidays but it always seems so busy!
