HOORAY!
Baby slept 6 straight hours last night! I'm so excited, but I do know it could be short-lived. I didn't get much sleep though, I kept getting up to check on her. LOL.
My parents bought her a Fisher Price Papazon Cradle Swing and that is where she was while sleeping so well. That thing is great, it swings side to side or front to back. It has made a world of difference in our sleep. It lays reclined and baby loves it.
Now, that wonderful news being said...the last two evenings have been our worst on record so far. Baby wants to nurse nonstop from about 7 - 10PM. If she isn't nursing, she's screaming. I'm figuring maybe a growth spurt. I hope we don't have to have evenings like that in order to get a good night's sleep. LOL.
The late evenings are always her fussy time, but the last two have been even worse than normal. I'm hoping it's just a growth spurt and that it will pass in a day or two.
I'm not sure about my milk supply either...I would think that with this being our first 6-hour stretch between meals, that I would have been over-full/engorged. I didn't feel uncomfortable at all?? Maybe it's because she nursed so long in the evening..?? I may call the lactation consultant today just to see what they have to say about it...I'd hate to think I was losing my milk supply.
Baby has followed a pretty good schedule for the last two days...other than that fussy time in the evenings.
She gets up and eats, plays, then naps. Every 3 hours it starts over again. If she is still sleeping at 3 hours, then I do wake her up during the day...I feel that's important in helping her establish her days and nights. If last night is any indication, I guess it's working.
____________
The weekly menu has been altered a bit...I didn't have chicken readily available so the pot pie and lo mein have been changed to leftovers and tacos. LOL.
______________
DD5 has Awana tonight and she is always so excited to go. We are just going to work on her verse now (she has to memorize various verses each week...).
__________
Laundry, dishes, supper, and various housecleaning chores are on the agenda today...usually done during the baby's naps. She is finally getting her naps out now that we have that papazon swing. I feel better about her sleeping in that than I do with her sleeping on her tummy...which is the only other way she gets a full nap in.
I hope everybody is having a great day! { Post a Comment } { Last Page } { Page 179 of 305 } { Next Page } |
