We have discovered the swing!

Ok, it's just a quick fix, but baby sleeps so well in the swing, I've started putting her there for her naps.  She was waking every 30 minutes during her naps and that just caused her to be irritable and want to eat, even though she wasn't really hungry (comfort nursing...a quick latch on and then she was done...to fall asleep for a few minutes and then cry again).  I was getting frustrated and not sure what to do...then I tried the swing yesterday...wow.  She's like a new baby!  She is getting her naps in now and she is so happy!  I also have time to do various chores around the house that were being neglected.  It's a good thing all around, I just feel guilty...like I'm a bad mom for putting her in her swing to sleep.

Our storm yesterday was great.  We received 17 inches of snow in a 24 hour period.  It just kept falling and falling...it was so pretty.  It's very pretty today, with the sun shining on everything.  It's a winter wonderland out there.  My parent's who live 25 miles away, have no snow at all.  Gotta love that Lake effect snow.  We are right in the snow belt, even though my parents are closer to the Lake.

I'm working on next weeks menu and trying to finish up our Christmas shopping.  We are close to being finished...just have to order a few more things and DH has to decide what to get his family members and we'll be done.

No big plans this weekend...maybe church on Sunday if I can get DH to go too.  It's hard when baby eats right at time to attend service...

We'll also go to my parent's house on Sunday...I always enjoy visiting with them for the day and DD5 usually spends the night.

I LOVE my swing! My last baby spent a lot of time in there. We were both much happer and well rested.

I don't know if you have ever swaddled? that can help almost as much as hte swing.
