10 inches of snow and still falling!

Wow.  We are having white-out conditions right now.  We are right in a snow belt near Lake Michigan, and we get hit a lot.  A town 10 minutes away has sunshine and NO SNOW.  It's crazy how it hits.  My parents live just a mile from Lake Michigan and we almost ALWAYS get more snow than they do, and we are 25 miles from the Lake.

We are currently planning to stay in for a couple days.  LOL

No big plans anyway...DD has ballet tonight and we'll have to see how the weather is doing before we decide if she goes or not.  That town may not be getting any snow at all..it's 10 minutes away.

I had planned on fish for supper tonight, but decided to make either chili or stuffed peppers instead.  The chili would be good for DH after being out in the snow all day, but I can't have it (too spicey for my nursing babe).  We'll have to see what I have time for when that time comes.

Baby is doing good, but she is still having gas/ colick or something similar going on.  She is sleeping pretty well at night and when she does wake up, she's grunting like she's trying to have a BM.  I exclusively breastfeed, so it's not formula causing this.  My diet is very bland, and no dairy or spicey dishes at all.  I can't figure it out.  Mylicon hasn't seemed to make any difference at all.  Any ideas are appreciated.

She is currently changing her schedule.  She eats every 2 1/2 hours during the day and then I feed her at 9:30PMish and let her sleep until she wakes on her own (I was waking her at 12:30, but she wouldn't eat much).  She usually sleeps until 2 or 3AM and nurses and goes right back to sleep.  She then wakes again at 5 or 6AM for the day (meaning she stays awake for about 20 minutes after eating, then goes down for an hour and a half nap).  That starts our 2 1/2 hour daily routine.  Other than waking early from her naps with that gassy/something problem, she stays right on schedule...she put herself on it, I just follow it as it works well for all of us.

DD5 is having some potty issues.  She feels like she has to go pee all the time (sorry if TMI).  She feels like she has to go, but then can't go, or goes just a little bit.  I'm thinking maybe a UTI?  Going to the Dr is not an option for us today, with the weather we are having, we just can't get out.  She has had this going on for a few days and it didn't occur to me that it was really an issue (she didn't mention it).

She had Awana last night and she loves that program.  She memorizes her verse every week and is so proud when she earns her badge or patch or jewel, or whatever the case may be.

She has ballet on Thursdays and loves that too.  I'm not sure if she'll be going today or not.  I have my doubts but hate to break it to her.  I'll see what DH thinks when he gets home...he'll have a better idea of what the roads look like since he'll have been on them.

DH went to the Dr recently for sore knees.  The Dr is testing him for Rheumatoid Arthritis and Lupus.  Lupus because his mom had it and RA because that is what it sounds like he has.  I pray that it is something easily fixable.  He is in a lot of pain with it right now.  He doesn't like to take meds, but does take Aspirin for it.  The Dr gave him anti-inflammatories, but DH said they aren't helping any.

The animals are all hanging in there with this weather.  Most are hanging out in their huts/shelters.  The steers don't mind though and they usually stand right out in the weather...covered in snow.  LOL

The chickens stay in their coop of course, and refuse to lay eggs.  That's ok, I don't blame them at all.

The cats usually hang out on our porch during the day, but they've been seen hanging out in the hay loft instead these days...much warmer.

The Great Pyrs love the weather, no matter what it's doing out there.  Rain, snow, sleet, they are always right out playing in it.

I'm off to read with DD5 while baby is sleeping.  I hope you are all having a great day!
