Lazy Day Tuesday

Well, we were supposed to drive to a friend's house today...about an hour away.  However, DH called this morning and said he didn't think we should go due to the roads being bad.  It snowed about 2 inches this morning, but it came fast and hard with a lot of wind.  He said the roads were very slippery.  Then the sun came out and melted it off and it's just windy now. 

DD and I have just been lazy today.  We spent a good part of the day making Valentine Picture frames w/ pictures for relatives for the big day.  DD is having a blast with that.  I picked up some of those foam sheets and matching foam stickers (both were on sale at Michael's last week).  We have made about 8 so far, and have about 8 to go.  I'm just gluing a picture to the foam, then cutting another piece of foam the same size as the first piece, and then cutting an opening for the picture to show through.  Then gluing them together.  Then DD is decorating them with the stickers.  Easy and fun.  Cheap is always good too.  :)

We also have soup going in the crockpot and I'm thinking about making lasagna for supper.  It wasn't on my menu, but it sure sounds good.  We picked up all that pork yesterday and that ground sausage has lasagna written all over it!  LOL 

DH is on overtime again and he isn't always hungry when he gets home, so that throws off my menu a bit.  I don't like to make a big supper and then have him come home and eat just a few bites.  Seems wasteful, so I often just fix him leftovers on those late nights.  I save the big meals for when we can all eat together.

Since we didn't go today, we are planning to drive to our friend's house on Friday instead.  We'll have to see if the weather cooperates.

Nothing exciting today, I like these lazy days.

PS~ I like lasagna too--maybe I shouldn't have said that either-LOL!
