A quiet couple of days...

We've had a quiet couple of days around here...
Yesterday we spent much of the morning outside playing with the kittens and then watching TV. We did our studies quite late in the day, around noon time I think. No need to hurry, as we didn't have any other plans to worry about.
We had a hamburger skillet meal for supper...NOT FROM A BOX. LOL. DH doesn't like those box meals at all. Anyway, it tasted pretty good...
DH worked 8 hours yesterday and came home and mowed the entire yard! INCLUDING weed whacking! I can't remember the last time he had time to do all that after work!
DH and DD went to bed together, but she started coughing so I went and got her and she and I slept in the spare room. I don't like for DH's sleep to be disrupted, he has to get up too early for that.
I'm not sure about DD's cough, I think the surgery Monday aggravated her Asthma. I'm going to give her two doses of her meds today and tomorrow and see how she does after that.
DH picked up the mail on his way home and his passport came in! We really didn't expect it to come in so soon. He was getting worried that he'd have to get a copy of his birth certificate at the courthouse, as he sent his only copy with his passport application. He leaves for Canada on Wednesday next week, so he's happy to have everything. (the passport is not required yet, but it'll be nice to have it anyway). _______________________________________________
Today DD and I got up around 8:30 and did our morning routine. We did our studies at about 10:30ish. Ate lunch around noontime and then headed to the closest town for a few groceries at Save-a-Lot. We also hit the local feed store for some laying mash, the chickens were happy about that when we got home...they'd run out yesterday. We also hit the post office while we were out (it's located right across from the feed store, so that's convenient!).
DH got home a little late, he worked 10 hours today and then had to drive home with the Friday traffic. He just did his basic chores tonight, no projects going on. I had planned on spaghetti for supper, but he said he'd like a pizza, so we did that instead. No complaints from me! LOL.
I called a bank to see if they would switch our american currency to Canadian for DH's trip (I did this last year)...the bank does it, but they don't give the going rate? So DH is going to just stop at the border to get his money. How strange that the bank doesn't give the going rate? Weird.
DD is doing much better since her surgery on Monday. She is now running and jumping and even playing on her trampoline (though she is taking it easier than normal, I've noticed). She says her belly itches, so I think that's a good sign.

Braxton Hicks contractions are pretty constant. I have about 3 or 4 per hour during the day. They don't hurt, but they are getting intense...sometimes I have to stop what I'm doing, but not always.
The OB office called today and said they'd like to set up my 'pre-op' appt. They asked if I could make it on October 19. I said sure. I then asked if they were going to set up my C-section...she said, "Your C-section has been set up for some time, didn't anybody call you??". LOL. I said that no, I had no idea it was set up, and that I'd love to know when it was so that I could be there...
It looks like our little Spotty will be born on:
OCTOBER 26, 2006 around 8 or 9 AM.
Of course, our little Spotty could decide to come sooner, but if she isn't here with us by that time, then that will be the day...

Weekend plans...
DH is working 8 hours tomorrow. DD and I will do a math lesson (we are a few lessons behind on math, so we are doing an extra lesson each week while we catch up).
DH plans to go to his parent's tomorrow night for supper, and DD and I have a birthday party to attend. We'll pick DH up after the party, as he is going to ride with his brother over there tomorrow afternoon.
Sunday we aren't sure on plans. We may go to a store about an hour away called Lunkers. It's a fishing/hunting store. They do have nice aquariums set up and several nice 'stuffed' animals. DD will love it, we haven't been there in over a year so she doesn't even remember it. DH wants to pick up a few things for his upcoming fishing trip.
We don't have any plans other than that, and the Lunkers trip might not even happen. We'll just have to see.
