Well, i've finished the baby blanket. Im so pleased with how it turned out. This is my very first crochet projet ever. I didnt have a pattern or anything I just learned a triple crochet stitch LOL. Im still learning and trying to figure out the lingo so I can learn to follow a patter and make other things. I was a bit sad when I finished it. It was a great sense of completion but then I felt like, "ok, now what am I going to work on?"  Well, never fear, when there's a 11 year old daughter in the house looming over you wondering why the blanket wasnt for her I knew another one wasnt far behind.  She like it so much she asked me if I would take her to the store and she could pick out the yarn and if I would make her one.  Of course, of course...how could I not.  Im glad that she has been able to see me pick up something I wanted to learn and then start learning about it, try it and complete it. And she still see's me learning about it. I pray that she will always have a desire to learn.

Good job on your first crochet blanket. I remembered when I first started to crochet ( I taught myself) and wondered the same. Remember to save all your scraps of useable yarn. You can make all kinds of scrap projects like a granny square. If you google free crochet patterns you will come up with alot of web sites. I love going to www. crochetpatterncentral.com
