Christmas has hit our home ~ new things comin my way

We had a nice Thanksgiving at my in-loves, lots of food and of course our traditional Tur-duc-en (im not even sure how to spell that!). There was 11 of us and it was tons of fun. I made my sweet husband his favorite cherry pie so he was excited.

We always decorate and get the house ready for Christmas the Saturday after Thanksgiving...that's today. I love Christmas, its one of my most favorite holidays. We normally go all out and decorate, however, this year my husband and I both agreed to keep it a bit more simple this year and put our main focus on our family and spending time enjoying each other and our daughter. We're still decorating and getting things organized so i'll post pictures tomorrow :)

Nicole went to ice-skating today with some of her little girlfriends from church to celebrate one of their birthdays. Tomorrow she has another birthday party for another little girl from church (both girls have the same birthdays so one does Saturday and the other Sunday after church) While Nicole is gone tomorrow I will be doing an entire overhall on her room. OMG somehow it has just gotten out of hand. I think she is just a bit overwhelmed at this point so im going to jump in and take over so moving forward she can just maintain. This season is a great time to go through her things and give away many of the lightly used items. I will also be putting the small Christmas tree in her room with a few decorations. I love to share the joy of Christmas with her and let her have her very on small tree (really its only like 2 feet tall) in her room.

I've started making a faith baby blanket. I taught myself how to crochet and im making a very simple, and I mean very simple blanket. Its just a triple crochet stitch - not sure how i'll do the outsides yet. As my husband and I have been trying to have more children for the past few years (about 2 plus years) with out success i've decided to make this blanket in faith. God is good and I trust Him and His timing.

Also, I've been researching bread makers and waiting for a good sale for about 2-3 months and finally I found the one I want for a great deal. I was talking to my sweet husband and he just said "its that the one you want, that is the best deal we've found" and the next thing I knew he bought it for me. It should be here in a few weeks (we got free shipping so delivery was a little longer but im so ok with that). I was so blessed by my husband today and im so thankful. I can not wait for the bread maker to come and to get started.

Well, its getting a bit late and church comes early tomorrow. Sweet blessings dear readers.
