I made this wonderful Banana Nut Cake for my Father-in-loves birthday. Normally my Mother-in-love makes it for him as its his favorite cake, however, they are in the middle of having their kitchen floor redone and she wasnt able to get to the stove. When she told me she wasnt going to be able to make it she said she would just buy a cake and bring it to the dinner I was making (homemade chili, homemade salsa and homemade cornbread) for him. I told her I would just make the cake if she was ok with it - and, of course she was. So...even though I didnt have a reciepe and never made it before it came out FANTASTIC!

Im not the best cake decorator. I tried to write Happy Birthday on it with the icing pen but you couldnt even read what it said so I used this other icing tip I had and made a big 'J' (for Jerry) and put walnuts around the outside. The cake was so so moist and so so yummy!

We had a great time visiting with them and he just loved the cake (whew).

Walnuts arent my favorite but when they're in a banana cake they're just fine :)
