• Thursday, September 27, 2007 - Kansas City

Yesterday I had to take my oldest to the airport in Kansas City for a weekend visit with relatives in another state.  It's for a special event, so I don't mind him missing a little school.  But the four hour trip there, and the four hour trip home simply wore me out!  Going to a big city, seeing all the people, shops, and everything is nice, but it sure makes me happy about where I live.  It was nice to come home at eleven last night.  To see my little town, with no stoplights, no traffic, and the ten minute trip from one end to the other!  My husband took off work early so I would not have to take the baby-toddler, and that made the day a lot easier (wasn't that sweet).  I got so tired of weeding this summer, but I have already started planning for next year.  My Mom, for my birthday coming soon, bought me some transparent corrigated roofing to go on the top of my greenhouse.  I am so excited!  I need to set up a light and a thermometer out there, and I will be ready to start more perrenials after the start of the year, and vegetables and annuals later on.  I took cuttings off my Mom's collection of clematis, and I hope they root.  It's the wrong time of year, but I couldn't resist trying!

Your town sounds so nice. I live in a middle sized town , we were a dairy town, but now most of the dairys are gone they have been replaced with track home, shopping centers, parks and schools. I love to move to a smaller town but hubbies job is here.
God bless. mj
