My schedule for the day plus other news

Posted on Thursday, March 1, 2007 at 01:15 - Post Comment

First of all , My blog was one of the ones that was affected by the hackers. So I am sorry to anyonewho had to see the awful picture on it. it makes you realize that the web is a great tool being used all over the world for good yet there are those who seek to fill it with filth. Anyway.... we have been busy as you know but these past 2 weeks we have been especially busy!!! Today for example here is my list for the day..... Wake up, get the kids ready for school, excercise , get myself and sadie ready for the day. Make chai for Little Lambs meeting, Take Sad... and her friend to school, bring Chai to meeting and visit for a few minutes w/0 appearing to rush off, teach at Kijabe primary school, go to Bethany and fill out forms for the Group home of the man who has 6 former street boys in his family, perpare lunch , eat with Bruce , Lyd... and Sad...,drop Lyd.. back at school, drive 15mins up the hill to get gas in the car and gas for Cement mixer, pick up Shilo and Gladys at LL and visit with kids there, temporaly solve a problem up there (long story), go to hospital with shilo to have peanut size ball of wax removed (there is still more so we will go back next week), have a reward soda with Shilo, meet Lyd... at school lib, pick up donations for the Moffat auctions at 2 houses, sort stuff out and bring to Moffat, Put away and feed chickens, make dinner (I made bacon and Tomatoes omellette) meet with Bruce and Machaa at Mama Chicku's about the problem at LL that occured earlier in the day, stop at Super Duka for TioletPaper, go home and visit with children and listen to "new" CD i got from the auction stuff with Kim, then go to bed. As I laid there I thanked God for all that I was able to accomplish and the fact that I was able to enjoy each responsibility and that my family was not squeezed out in the busyness. Of course you see I did no housework except cook and again, that is because Virginia stayed here and did all of it for me. I say this not to brag but to let you know blessed I am to have her here with us. Other news... I was able to sell 10 bags of Charcoal for John, Beth and Mwangis father. I had a goal of selling 10 bags and I reached it and I also had the hope he would let me hold for him most of it, and HE DID!!! money management is a huge cultural problem here, if you have it , spend it is how 90% of the people live here. So now he has money when the charcoal runs out. Other news.... my first born daughter is turning 15 tomorrow. Her dorm friends called to invite themselves over for her biirthday so tomorrow we will have dinner together. i thought it was so sweet how they asked if they could come over. Of course i don't mind and she'll love it!!! She is becoming quite the goal keeper in soccer, very agressive!! other news...Gav... is totally into reading these days!!! At night we can't find him or hear him and he is in bed at 7 reading!!! He is into the redwall series. Lev.. has always been into reading and is very serious about school work. Lyd... reads too and is totoally into the Library thing ( hence the trip there today). That's it i guess.. busy weekend here... Ki...'S friend will be here all weekend and my neices will be here saturday. Sat night is family skating night and Levi has a class party that I am asked to chaperone. I'd rather skate but don't tell him that, he is excited I will be there... Ellen

Wow Ellen...that's a busy day and God is so good how he can just make all that stuff work out...especially when we are doing His will. I can't believe Kimberly is 15!!! She is such a sweet girl and we miss you all. It was nice to get a letter from Lydia to share with my Olympian class that wrote to her. We will try to keep in touch. Nice to hear about your happenings there, as always......keep blogging.
