Abraham did not get the job because the man who did the  interview said his was to young to have a wife and two children.  He thought that was irresponsible!!!! **%%^%$###)(*)((&^@!!!!!!!!! His other alternative is to sleeping around like some of the young men around here!!  Oh well, I don't like the outcome but I guess we have to accept it.  Abraham was  disappionted and so was I.  Bruce has been gone for about a week now but we are doing ok..  I've had some minor tragedies (like backing up into his car and then the shock going on the car) but I've managed.  I 've been busy but I lke it  that way.  The kids are busy with homework and playing so they are ok.  Tommorrow I am going to Naivasha with my sis in law after we both do our teaching responsibilites.   Also my friend Linda is back in Mozambique.  I miss  her alot.  Her son was also Levi's good friend.  We hope to visit them someday.  What is up with Bruce's talk on Sunday night?  What did he say?  TEll me  because he won't!!! He'll just do the man thing and say, I just talked about what we are doing.!!!  Got to run, I'm on my way to Kijabe town with the Mofatt students.

It was beautiful!

He raved and raved about......

YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Joan came over yesterday and we were talking about it. We both think that he is getting to see just "what" a Help Meet he has! :)

Laura loved seeing a few pictures of Sadie. She really misses her. I'm glad that she still remembers her.

I am so sorry Abraham did not get that job; so bizarre to think it's because he is trying to do the right thing!
I imagine you are eager to have everyone back with you; I guess it's good that you are so busy!
God bless you,
Patti

He did a great job

Ellen so sorry to hear the bad news about Abraham and how upsetting that is. Prayign something else can come along and that he will keep on keeping on and never give up.
As for Bruce, he did a great job sunday night. We really enjoyed seeing pictures of you and the kids and hearing what you are doing in Kenya. Seeing the pictures shows us even more how much we miss you all, but doing God's work and seeing the accomplishments is awesome. Can't wait to see you all.

PS: I ditto Jennifers comments as to Bruce knowing your a great "HELP MATE"

Ellen - her kitchen and her learning of the language

Ellen, Bruce talked about how much you have helped open doors in Kenya because of your willingness to learn a language and really get to know the people there. He said in Kenya everything is based on relationship - he also showed us pics of the kids you have sort of "adopted" and photos of your kids were a shocker! They have grown. He shared about Sadie's accent when she plays with her friends. He told us about the policeman and the stick. It was talk I could have listened to all night long. It made us realize how much we miss you still, but how proud we are of what you've accomplished in the past year, what a change it has been and how much the kids have accepted and grown with it. Don't worry, Ellen, he didn't share anything embarassing - he made you sound really, really good. And, we saw pics of your kitchen, before and after. Sending my love tonight -feeling really fond of you, friend. Chris P.S. Sorry about the job situation. How strange it is viewed as being irresponsible to work!!!!!
