Confession time

My name is Jan and I collect fabric.  I have a stash that makes me blush.  I have daughters to sew for, and yet they have so many clothes that I am never quite sure that I should sit down and sew for them LOL.  Most of my fabrics are summer weight.  I have to remember NOT to purchase summer clothing for them next year.  I WILL RESIST.

This week Joann's had their clearance fabric at 60% off  My six year old and I only picked out heavier fabrics, just enough to make skirts and vests and jumpers for her.  Her idea... really, I had nothing to do with it LOL.  I came home and started sorting through the fabrics.  I think I am going to get my eldest daughter into my craft room to help me sort some more and to get going on some projects.

I was given a whole mess of sweet cherries today.  I have decided that there is not really enough for a canner load, but I will freeze them instead.  Maybe make ice cream topping with them at a later date.

This brought a smile to my face. I'm a quilter - need I say more. I decided about 3 months ago I would not purchase anymore quilting material until I used up every single piece I have stashed away. I've stayed out of quilting stores and I've kept to my goal. It's been VERY hard to say the least because I so want more. At the rate I'm going I might be able to hit a quilting store in 2010!!!!

Start quilting girl!! I'm sure you would have fun doing that. Try to see if your library has beginning quilter books for you to try! :)
