okay, I was not sure if you meant links INSIDE your posts, or on the side, so I will give you both.
first, in the body of your post (this is a copy of a comment I left someone else):
okay, I am going to try this. I am not good at explaining things that need a picture, but we will try....
when I am typing my new entry, I will type something like this:
"Go here to see the article" then I go highlight the word "here" and click the "insert/edit link" button above the text box. It looks like a globe with an infinity sign or paperclip under it.
That will bring up a box with two fields. The first says "Link name" and that is where you will retype "here" or more details like, "to the HSLDA website"
The second says "URL" and that is where you paste the link. Finally, click the "add link"; button and it should insert nicely.
I like to add typing AFTER where I want the link BEFORE I actually paste it in, otherwise what I type after seems to become part of the link. I am probably doing something wrong there, but my way works!
Sometimes I will click "preview entry" when I am done and just check to see if my links worked before I actually post the entry.
for links that are on the side of your page:
if you go to your blog manager (where you can click to "add new entry"), off to the right is a picture of some gears and the word "settings." click it. It will bring you to a new page with four tabs at the top: Entries, Template, Settings, View Blog
Make sure you have "settings" selected. that will give you five choices: General Settings, Comments, Links, Site Feed, Podcast Feed.
Choose links. It will bring up two columns of fields. In the RIGHT field, paste your link. In the LEFT field, give it a name. You can use the link again, or you can use another name. You choose. Have a gander at my site. I am not technical or over-linky, but there are a few on my right hand side.

I hope this answered your questions.
