| Ok, I admit it, cleaning house IS NOT my favorite thing to do. It
is a thankless job. You finally get it looking good and 2 minutes
later it is a disaster area. Especially with four children 7
years and younger. I have read anything and everything
that I can get for free on the subject (see my links). I have
learned how to speed clean (click here
for a free copy of a book), spend 15 minutes at a time on a job
(Flylady), decluttered, 5 minutes hot spots, you name it, but
there is something that none of these books or websites can give me and
that is the discipline needed to to keep at it. I finally come
to realize that. They may motivate me for a day or two, but then
it is up to me. I think the key is "self discipline"
Ouch. It hurts to say that aloud. It is something I lack,
but needs to be cultivated in my life. It takes time,
determination and just doing it to get it to work and perhaps being a
little organized in my scheduling! It is something I need to do,
if not for myself but for my children. I hate to think of what my
house would be like if not for my dh. He is Mr. Neat, and about
the time I start feeling overwhelmed he pitches in and helps me out.
The worst of it is...that is not his job...it is mine and I dont do a
good job of it. So why am I posting it here for public
viewing...maybe it is so whenever I see this post, I will ask myself
"Have I done what I need to do before sitting at the computer" and if
not I am hoping I will get up and do it!

Any schedule or plan will surely fail for this, if we aren't motivated enough to do it and stick with it. I hear ya....
I have found something this past year that seems to work for me....for scheduling, so I feel like I have a better grip, if you will, on things and I KNOW I am getting more done these days :)
WELCOME--glad you're here!
