I am starting to make some of my own household cleaners and products.
I have made lavender deodarant - so far works great!
I have usually made my own floor cleaner...hot water, dish detergent
and bleach, but I am cutting out the bleach so today I made hot water,
dish detergent (7th generation) and several drops of lavendar essential
oil. It smelled wonderful as I was mopping the floor.
I them made my own counter top cleaner. I took a recipe I had
learned from the "Queen of Clean" and again adapted it, so I wasnt
using bleach. In a spray bottle add 1 TBSP borax, 1 TBSP of
baking soda. Fill 1/2 way up with white vinegar (instead of
bleach, which I would only use a 1/2 cup of) and added a few drops of
lavendar essential oil. Not only does lavender smell good, but it
is antiseptic, antiviral, antibacterial.....and the anti that I cant
remember!
Loving the way my house smells.
