• Feb. 22, 2006 - Chickens, again!
Crunch time is coming to get some chickens within the next month,
and I was curious to know what everone's favorite breed is. If
you could include if your breed is good for meat or eggs or both that
would be good too! Thanks!

my preference is orpingtons, we get eggs from a lady near us and she raises buff orpingtons, they are suppose to be great layers, and gentle. Not to mention the cute factor, when she is outside she has a few hens that call to her, and won't quit until she says something back...it's cute!
