• Mar. 15, 2007 - Finding New & Used Homeschool Curriculum
I posted this over at my homeschool blog, but I know there are some readers here who homeschool who dont visit over there, so I thought I would post it here as well!
I am a bargain shopper. Living on a limited
income I need to be. Even when it comes to homeschooling I am looking
for a good deal on my curriculum. I am always looking for new sites
where used home curriculum is bought and sold. Today I made a few new
discoveries for homeschool auctions that I am excited about. Since
ebay has started (an enforced) its "NO Teachers Manuals" policy, buying
and selling has become more of a challenge for some people. Below I
am listing a couple of newly discovered sites as well as some sites
that I have been "haunting" for a couple of years now! This Little Piggy Stays Home HSLDA Market Homeschool Bid Board
This board isnt used that much, but I have found a couple of good deals
here. I think it would be more popular if the owner would change some
of its features. Still you might find something you are looking for so
be sure to check it out! The Well Trained Mind Sell/Swap Board Homeschool Classifieds

• Mar. 16, 2007 - hello
We use MOH and SOTW with Truthquest....we listen to the audio story of SOTW, I do ask them the narration questions from this, we do MOH and just read a page a day or so, and Truthquest is 2-4x a week.
So if I had to schedule this it would be Mon-Wed MOH page, Th-Fri listen to SOTW, Truthquest is MWF.
I DO NOT drive myself crazy trying to make everything match, we work on a time period and I just emerce them in that time, books laying around about ancients, SOTW Ancients etc etc...no matching.
Mapwork I'll pull from MOH next year, and they'll do that once a week, timeline we don't do we just look at our chart....Now, all this work goes into more depth for my high schooler.
Sorry for typing the book, Stop in anytime.
