I am taking up the challenge on the front porch to look at 5 random blog
and then write about them. The first three blog that came up were blank.
Then I came to Striving for Simplicity' blog! I love the name. Her most
recent post was about "striving - ever striving". She and her husband had
rented a dumpster and filled it one and a half times with clutter and yet
she still feels like her house is cluttered, but the clutter of useful
thing. She reminds us that the simplicity of "Little House" and the Amish
are things we may long for, but may not be the place that God has us. That
the contenment that comes from being in the "God ordained place" is the
perfect simplicity. On to number five, another blank blog so I continued
to number six.
"The Accidental Farmer" talks about raising exotic turkeys strictly for their
tail feathers, which are evidently great for fly fishing and go for 10 dollar
a piece. Hmm this might be a venture to look into, except the practical side
of me would want the meat too! The tails would just be an extra bonus. Diane's
turkeys by the way are beautiful so be sure to check out her pictures.
Next blog was a test blog that looked like a combination of Gena's template and
Carla's subtitle "Let's talk about what comes naturally!".
