Gina over at Smokey Mountain was asking what our idea of the perfect pantry was.
My idea of a perfect pantry, is a walk in pantry that has shelves from ceiling
to floor. It would include seasonings and spices grown in my garden and dried
herbs hanging from the ceiling. It would have 50 gallon containers of wheat and
corn for me to grind and make fresh breads from. The shelves would show jar after
mason jar of produce that I had canned from produce that we have grown and jams and
jellies from berries and other fruit that we had picked. Their might even be some
dried meat from a deer my husband shot and lots of dehydrated fruits and vegetables.
On the very bottoms shelves next to my 50 gallon buckets would be my grain mill, my
kitchen aid, food processor, canners and other large appliances that werent currently
being used on my counter that day. I might even have the lower part under some shelves
be a chest freezer. The pantry would be clean and organized. I would know
where everything was by catagory and then alphabetical order. There would also be a
picture reminding us to thank the Good Lord for the abundance that he had provided
for my family! That is my idea of a dream pantry!
