I have had a busy week so far. Saturday, I had company and cooked and cleaned for that. Sunday was my nephew's 12th birthday and his sister turned 3 on Monday (yes their birthdays are one day apart), so we went up for a joint birthday party..he had a special sleepover the night before. I spent Monday recouperating from the weekend.
Yesterday I made 4 loaves of wheat bread (made from my freshly ground flour) :) I decided to make it into a bread baking lesson for my girls, so we donned our matching aprons and mixed, kneaded and baked away. I then tried my hand at making pretzels, not very successfully, I am afraid. I didnt see the "If making pretzels with whole wheat flour" instructions at the end until I was almost done. Guess if I try them again, I will need to do that. My Pampered Chef order came yesterday and I now have a bunch of fun things for my kitchen such as the nesting stainless steel mixing bowls (half price item), the rest I was able to get for FREE:

So it was like having Christmas. I was supposed to get the Pastry maker but they sent a nylon spatula instead. My consultant said to keep the spatula and she will have the pastry maker sent out! After naptime we went and picked up our raw milk and did a little grocery shopping at Aldi. After supper I had a homeschool coop meeting.

This morning I used my new mixing bowl, adjustable measuring cup and spoons and mini muffin pan and made some yummy whole wheat blueberry muffins. My children loved them!!!
I used the basic muffin recipe from my Better Homes & Garden cookbook. I used whole wheat flour, raw sugar and real salt.

During all this time I am trying to plan my garden. I am creating a chart of all the vegetables, herbs and flowers I want to grow to include their spacing, height, time to plant, weeks or days to maturity, type of soil, how much sun and color of flowers. When I get that finished I will try and post it here.

Our cat is in heat or at least I think she is, she is meowing a lot, being even more affectionate than usual, want to go outside and starting to crouch when walking.
