• Aug. 8, 2006 - Busy, Busy Dreadfully Busy

Been a pretty busy past couple of weeks.  I have been doing some major decluttering (Flylady would be proud) and even had a yard/porch sale Saturday.  I have never done that before.   A friend of mine was supposed to come stay the night and stood me up (AGAIN)  LOL!  It worked out though, I wanted to do some major housecleaning and that motivated to do more than I would have otherwise.  Today I did a thorough cleaning of the fridge (Wahoo), usually I just spot clean.  I even wiped down my washing machine and have a wet rag cooking in the microwave to make that easier to clean! A chicken got out today, first time since I fixed the coop.  I was informed by my 3yo son who does not have the best communication skills when I came down to make breakfast.  At first I thought he was having memories of the dog getting one of the chickens, but when I went out to feed them sure enough one was missing.  I was getting ready to go inside when I heard this clucking noise coming from the direction of dh's garage.  There it was, hiding in a pile of wood and thankfully unharmed.  I put her back in with the rest of them and we still, thank the Good Lord, have 8 chickens.  :) Oh one quick funny.  My girls like to ask if they can go in the chicken coop and my 3 yo son likes to follow their example and he asks "Can I go in the chicken poop?"    I thought that remark was appropriate, since going in the coop requires going in the poop.
