My husband loves dumpster diving, treasure hunting, trash
picking...whatever you would like to call it. He had brought home
last year some things he had salvaged from a dumpster where an office
building had a fire. One of those things was a nice size bulletin
board. At the time I had no idea what to do with and for all I
cared he could put it back in the trash. We moved it with us back
from NY to PA and it kept getting in the way, finally the year ended
and the huge calendar I had on the side of the filing cabinet was
gone. The only new calendar we had was a regular size one.
Well I needed a place to hang it as well as our new church nursery
schedule so I thought about the bulletin board. Yes it would fit
nicely above the computer and the phone station....it just needs a
little sprucing up...out to hubby's garage/workshop....no paint
brush. My husband is a home improvements repair
guy...independent contractor if you want, and he was doing a major
paint job in Philly an hour away.....so I asked him to bring me home a
paint brush. He finally did yesterday (and gave it to me today).
So this afternoon while my little blessings are sleeping/quiet
time, I go down to the basement and set up my little paint
station. After opening a can of primer as hard as a rock, I was
sucessful in finding some that was a least paintable. So now my
bulletin board frame is primed and in a few hours will be ready to be
painted a pretty burgandy. When that dries I will staple some
gold wrapping paper over bulletin board. Hopefully it will look
nice when it is done. Just need to grab some drywall screws,
screw it into our wall and tada! Can't wait.
I will need to get my little lambs up in a half hour, get the boys
dressed who are still in their jamies, because we all have colds and
arent feeling that well and run out to get our raw milk for the
week. I am wishing that 50 degree weather back, I can tell
you.....did I ever tell you that I really dont like winter. I
think we should shorten winter to one month..and divy up the rest of
the week between the other three months...what do you say.
After the milk pickup I will stop by Aldi's (discounted grocery store)
and pick up some staples including the poisonous white flour, so I can
make some bread that is healthier than the even more poisonous store
bought bread. Next week I can buy my grinder. YEAH!!!!
Well I guess that is enough ramblin for now.....it was even this or a
rant on the goverment which I have been trying to surpress the past few
days. :) Have a great day.
