• Jan. 16, 2006 - More Cheesemaking Questions
Boy am I full of questions today!
I am looking to buy individually as someone recommended (instead of a
kit), the ingredients for making cheese as well as a cheesemaking DVD,
but I dont want to order the DVD and then have to buy the ingredients,
I would rather just do it all at once. I am planning to purchase
from The Cheesemaking Company because I love their site! What I need to know is:
What type of rennet is best?
Do I need cheese salt or will "real salt or celctic salt" do?
Besides a cheese cloth and culture, what else is needed?
Do I need to get a glass pan or is metal ok for cooking it?
I want to make some mozerella first! I don't like ricotta so may try cottage cheese too!
Any reminders or suggestions?
Thanks

I bought a couple of very nice ones at Walmart, but Costco often has some very ones as well, and I have one from there too. You can get one anywhere they sell kitchen stuff.
