Making your own granola is very easy! All you need
are rolled oats (or other rolled grains), filler such as seeds, coconut
flakes, nuts, wheat germ etc, oil, something sweet, liquid and dried
fruit! Here is a recipe that I created for yummy apple cinnamon
granola. Mix together in large bowl: 10 cups oats (42oz canister) 1-2 cups coconut 1 cup sliced almonds, (optional) Add: 1/2 cup virgin coconut oil or olive oil 1 cup honey or raw sugar (Demara, rapadura, sucanat, evap cane sugar etc) 1 cup apple juice. and blend. 2 TBSP Cinnamon Toast in oven at 250 until light brown, stirring occasionally - this will take several hours. When cool, add 1 cup dried apples

• Jan. 6, 2006 - Miss Kay!
If I had a Wild Oats closer than an hour and a half away, I'd be there every two weeks or so, that's for sure. But, for now, it's Kroger and their organic/all-natural section. :)
This recipe sounds yummy! I want to try making my own granola now. :) I will be going to Wild Oats for the first time in a very long time (tax return - PRAISE GOD!) next week! I look forward to this more than any other trip all year long. :) I plan on stocking up on all things that will keep for at least 3 months.
How have you been today? I hope you have had a nice day. :)
My Beka just turned 8 on December 2nd. When does your daughter turn 8? That would be neat if they are close in age, even by a few months.
Have a super Friday and Saturday, Miss Kay! Hugs! ~ Robin
