Wednesday, August 1, 2007 - Lets hope this works

We have been very busy lately in a whirlwind of project.  I can not wait to show you all for then that hopefully means they will be done!   But even with all that is going on we are still taking time to be a family. 

 We have been spending many hours of these hot and very humid days in the pool.  The dolphin the children are ridding, they one it last week in bible school for having the biggest beach towel.  So they one what I call the biggest dolphin.  It takes up nearly the whole pool and stand in equal height to me.  So I hope this works I am going to try to post some pictures.

My boys want to be just like their Dad.  They imitate him all the time.  I love the fact that our baby is imitating Daddy vacuum.

After all this playing Gregory needed a nap and Evan needed a hug.

Friday, July 27, 2007 - Well No show and tell for me

I was trying really hard to get a show and tell for today I started a project but could not get it done in time.  I bit off so much more than I could chew.

However this week I did find great distraction in a series of wonderful movies.  They are based on Janette Oke's books.  I so far have watched, and dearly cried, through Love Comes Softly and Loves Enduring Promise.  I can't get enough of them they pull at your heart.  SO I highly recommend them just be prepared with a box of tissues maybe 2.

This is absolutely wonderful and hilarious.  I have been having trouble with you tube so I am going to try to host it through photobucket I hope that work. 

Talk about glorifying GOD here is my son grooving to God, he is in the blue, but also watch his little friend in the striped shirt.  He jumps in with the best air guitar I ever saw.  So funny!  And when they realize I am filming them they just stop and freeze.  Oh kids...

Monday, July 23, 2007 - Show and tell Friday is coming soon

I started something this week.  Something big and time consuming.  What is it wait and see.  i can't wait to show you.  I am trying to finish it mostly by Thursday night so I can have it ready for show and tell Friday. 

This week my blogs will be less but I need to finish.  I also have EVERY evening booked up with bible school and they have an adult class too so I will be gone from 6 on.  Tomorrow day I too will be gone so lets see what I can do in the remainder of today, Wednesday and Thursday.

Begrudgingly I will say bye.

We have come home after a wonderful vacation to Assateague Island.  DH and I absolutely love it there and we were very happy to share this with our boys!

Friday, July 13, 2007 - 1 day left

Before we leave for the BEACH!!!  Oh I can't wait!  Neither can the boys.  I will be spending most of my day packing and the rest cleaning.  No one wants to come home to a dirty house.  I am so happy to be going please pray it goes well as we are taking the boys and camping at the beach.

We are going to Chincoteague, VA to a place called Tom's Cove.  We have never been there but to Assateague many times.  Tom's Cove is supposed to be a great family campground.  I am nervous to camp with the boys.  I would have rathered stayed at a condo where the have home amenities but they are over the moon and want to camp.

I will miss you all for the week but you know me as soon as I come back I will post tons of pictures that will not show up.  have a great week every one!

Wednesday, July 11, 2007 - okay okay so I have been tagged

I don't really do these things but I have enjoyed reading all of yours.  It is so nice and a little eerie to have such great friends that you know so much about but usually have never meet.  To talk about weird one person recently saw me at a local grocery store and was to nervous to say hi but messaged me as soon as she got home to tell me.  For further instances if any of you ever see me in person say HI I would love to give you a hug.  And if you are in the area drop by come stay for dinner.  Just give  me a little warning so I can hide all my clutter and shoes scattered all over the house.

Okay 8 things about me:

1.  My hubby and I only have 1 car.  we share.  It cuts down on bills and extra spending.

2. I am scared of deep water or water I cant see the bottom and quickly touch it.  But I love sailing and I love to water ski.  Go figure

3. I went with little niece Taylor and her mom to cracker barrel yesterday for lunch.  It was so much fun and I love shopping in the store part.  I go out to lunch with them plus another Aunt almost every Tuesday.  It is so nice and a great tradition for Taylor.  Although we have been doing this even before she was here.

4. I really want a bicycle.  I have a nice one I left at MIL's in Seattle but what good does that do me 3k miles away.

5. My house is like a shrine to my kids.  There are pictures of them all over it.  I think it is redundant and silly since they are always right under foot.  Do I think I am going to forget what they look like?

Wednesday, July 11, 2007 - DVD Debachle

How many times does it take me to learn something?  Oh my if that is not a saying I have heard my mother point out to me all my life.  "Karen when will you learn"  In that stern, disapproving, mad voice.  Reading those words on the screen I can hear her voice with absolute clarity.  But she is right.  It takes me making a mistake over and over many times over before I learn not to do it or change it.  Today was no exception.

I woke up late this morning to the sound of my DH's ringing phone he forgot.  I was extremely tired and groggy.  I went down stair turned the darn thing off and so sleepy crawled back into bed.  No luck on falling back asleep.  So me and the baby stumbled back down stairs and had lots of coffee.  It did not work and that kinda set the mood for the day.  Total exhaustion.  I slumped into the reclining chair we have placed in front of the computer and started job hunting.  As I was reading the listing and starting to apply to some I started feeling sick  nothing specific just blah. 

 Well the baby and his baby friend broke our DVD folder a few days ago and I haven't replaced it yet.  Just never remember when I am at the store.  Well the baby oped the broken DVD folder and dumped them all out.  I get up off my lazy behind clean it up and but it back on the shelf. tired and not thinking.  Then I go back to my chair and keep filling out applications.  then a little later my baby who is 2 did it again.  And I again picked them up put them back on the shelf.  Okay here is the part about  not learning.  I must have repeated this scene at least with out joking 7 times before I finally moved the DVD case away from the baby off the shelf and now have it sitting by my feet. 

Oh if I would have only moved it out of his reach to begin with.  But lets see how long it is before I forget it is over here walk out of the room and he does it again.  I can't win especially against a 2 year old.

Monday, July 9, 2007 - Gregory's birthday

Gregory turned 4!!!!  Well he actually turned 4 last Monday but we did not tell until yesterday.  His real birthday came and went and it was so hard to bite our tongues but we decided to wait until the day of his party.  Since my house is a construction site now we opted to have it at an amusement center.  But the day started off here with his grand parents.  The came over after lunch Gregory and his Grandma went swimming for a short bit but then he realized they brought presents.  That was the end of any other focus.

Friday, July 6, 2007 - Hair update

Well I got it fixed.  I am still quite blond but a better blond.  It is different but oh well roll with the punches.  After visiting with my stylist and her helping me together we worked out a hair regime.  I shall put special conditioners and strengtheners in it for a month or she will then dye in to a luscious dark blond brown.  So I guess I am really blond for a month but I will live with the saying and go have a more fun month.  I will post a new hair pic in a day or so when the color finishes setting.

Friday, July 6, 2007 - If its not broke don't fix it!

I should have took that advice!  I made a bad dumb mistake.  This Sunday is my sons birthday party we are have 12 children and 13 adults.  And holding it at an amusement center.  Next Saturday we are leaving to the beach for a week !!!!  So to look a little more summery and something special I thought why not lighten my hair?  My baby has the prettiest blond hair.  It is supper gorgeous.  I went to a drug store last night a found a hair lightener kit and did it my self.  It is HORRIBLE!  It is yellow and too light for me.  Now I have to fix it.  Do I bite the bullet and go to a salon or just buy another box of brown and try it myself.  Ugh...why did I bother messing with it in the first place.

Want a way to entertain your little ones?  Well try this new two fold method.  Get a front loading washer and dryer and you will have two attentive little boys for at least 15 minutes and clean clothes on the way.

Monday, July 2, 2007 - Hard Work

A day of true, long and hard work never hurt anyone but it sure makes you tired.  I called and ordered 12 tons of limestone and shale today.  The man on the other end of the phone said great I will bring it out tomorrow at noon.  Wow, prompt service.  But that meant I had a lot to do today.  I first played with the boys, then mowed the lawn, moved toys all over, washed many loads of laundry and hung 3 out, trimmed bushes, cut down branches, threw everything over into my neighbors yard for burning.  And that was just the inside stuff.  I washed dishes, made lunch, put away laundry, bathed the youngest, cleaned up a poop accident, cleaned up 3 spots where the dog threw up, blogged a little, did some real estate.  Now hubby is coming home so I need to shower because tonight I have to run to a clothing store, go to the grocery store, and at some point YES I get to go to bed.  A long hard day.  I should have took my mothers advice and married rich.
