I got something to say

Just A Little Note

Hello, my family moved down to Tennessee because I got a good job in hopes to buy some land become self-sifficiant and quit my good job.  Why?  I believe that the american way is in for a rude awakening and hardly anybody wants to believe it.  Government, schools, economy,  Hollywood, Isreal, and everything else you can think of is all working together in a force beyond our own power.  It is all pointing to the end times and I am not 100% sure it will be like the hit series Left Behind (but that would be great wouldn't it).

For me, I know that homesteading is not my savior or escape from a rough world, it is about eating when and if there is no way to buy food unless you have the Mark of the Beast (Rev. 13:16).  "OOH that's crazy", or how about "well I don't think we will see it" or "I think we will be gone by then".  To me those aren't very strong arguments to convince me that I am the crazy one.  Homesteading is about not being in a postion that I am completely reliant on the govn't, Wal-Mart, new cars, kroger cards, and Mcdonalds.  It is about being able to help others who didn't think this was going to happen in our lifetime and take them in and help feed them.  It is about hoping I am wrong and meanwhile I found a simpler way of life that people completely do not understand.

I have years ahead of me before I get to my goals, but it starts now eventhough I am a ways from buying land.  I have many things to take care of and many things to write about.

God Bless,

Jason

Good for you, Jason. I do believe our country is living on "borrowed" time - When will God say, "Ok, that's enough". And I do admire you for the stand you are taking.

I have just retired - so am truly looking forward to the day when Jesus calls me home. But my son really teases me about that - my Dad lived to be 84 and my Mom died a couple of years ago at the sweet age of 99. And Geoff says, "Remember, when you were a little girl and prayed to be alive for the Rapture? Well ------". And watching the news today is like reading the Bible. We are truly seeing so much of prophecy being fulfilled in our lifetime.

So, I pray you will soon be able to purchase that land and begin to be self-sufficient for you and for your family.
Please write more - will be looking forward to hearing more about your life and your family.
Barb

you are doing what we are doing. In fact, I wrote a whole long essay directed by your thoughts, so I guess my comment can be more accurately read at my blog. thanks for the food for thought.
