Our new man around the homestead "Chance"

I would like to introduce you to our new man around the homestead "Chance"!

He is a 10 year old quarter horse mix gelding. We bought him on Feb. 15, 2006, we paid $2,300.00 for him.

Our search for a horse & buying one has been such a learning experience to say the least! I will go into that side of the story at another time. We have a trainer coming to the house twice a week to help us gain his respect. She has us lunging him, which has been working nicely for us. We are complete novices to horses and are loving learning all that we can about them.

He's gorgeous, good luck working with him. We have 2 geldings, or I should say my parents bought them. I just have the joys of spending all day with them if I wish. But we also have a stallion so the boys get moody with each other. But thats because there are so many mares around....lol.

Hi, I'm Elizabeth from Crystal's site...you have a beautiful gelding and I'm so glad to see a pic of him. Glad you've started a blog. I'll be checking back to see what progress you're making with this new man about the house!
